Boxford 8″ Shaper

Posted by: admin In: The Workshop & Tools

This is the first run of my Boxford 8″ Shaper that I have been trying to restore. I have converted the motor from the original 3ph to a single phase supply, re-made the drive pully which had chipped and finally cleaned and oiled as well as getting over some other mini hurdles! I got this some months ago and it has taken a good while to get running. I have made a bit of swarf with it and it looks to be working fine but more video`s to come shortly of it cutting the metal stuff. I`ve never used a shaper so please feel free to leave any info or words of wisdom.

Mark, I sadly sold this due to lack of use and space. I am sure I will regret it!

Welcome to Raynerd.co.uk

I`ve always wanted to learn more about engineering and electronics and my list of projects both complete and ongoing has been growing over the past few years. I like to document my progress more for my own understanding as much as anything, it helps keep me on track. I hope you can find something of interest to you, my clock building project is my priority but as you can see, I have many other builds I`m working on. Please leave a comment, it is nice to see people are reading!
